Booze-free hangover!

This morning I woke up with a hangover. It's lunchtime and my head still hurts. Amazing considering that I haven't had as much as a glass of beer for over a week. Blah.

Two days without crashing out!

Yes, it's now Wednesday night and I haven't had any crash-outs for the last 2 days! Got off to a late start on Tuesday because I was up until 1:30am Monday night but managed to get through my piano excercises without falling over. I was feeling really drowsy at around 2:00pm but managed to keep going. Today I've done the full day without keeling over and have felt fully awake all day.

The Crash Zombie Diaries.

I've created this blog out of desperation. I keep on falling asleep all the time and no-one, not even my doctor seems to know what it is or what causes it. It's been going on for years and won't go away. People used to insinuate that it was caused by what they presumed was my hard-drug rock'n'roll lifestyle. But that was an illusion in their minds: I hardly drink any booze at all and about the only drug I use is cannabis. I've given that a break in an attempt to kick the tobacco habit. So I'm going to keep a record of what happens on this blog. Maybe if someone out there recognises a pattern they could help me get over this problem because I'm at my wit's end.

OK... today Monday 24 January 2005: Woke up at 6:00 am to the gentle tones of non-stop airtraffic overhead. Most days the airplanes are between 2 to 3 minutes apart. Got up, had breakfast, read the papers online and got down to my regular guitar excercises/practice. By 10:00 am I was playing with my eyes shut, drifting in and out of consciousness, gave up and went to bed. Had a dream: I was living in a rural farm/tenement with a pet fox. Then it ran away or went missing, so I went looking for it and found it in the nearby town hiding under a car. I went back to my farm to get some food for it and got in my car ( a convertible ) and woke up as a cheesy lifestyle advert for the car played on its radio. I woke up feeling groggy and finished off my guitar excercises.
Went out for a walk in the park, bought some food in the supermarket, came back home had lunch and started recording a synth part for a piece of music I'm working on. By 3:00 pm I was so groggy I couldn't keep time and my playing was turning to crap. Damn near passed out on the sofa while drinking a strong coffee. Woke up an hour later feeling like crap and finally got it together to put the tracks down.
Made my supper and decided to put this blog together in an attempt to unravel this mystery. I'm going to post an entry each day I conk out and see if anything comes of it.
